London Metropolitan University: Working with Students

I was approached by the School of Art, Architecture & Design at London Metropolitan University to deliver a practical workshop to second year Illustration & Animation students.

I gave an outline of the work I do, alongside a short practical, in which the students were asked to pick out three points from a TED talk to illustrate. We focused on the importance of critical thinking, honesty, listening skills and client management that they will need as a creative professional.

Following an engaging Q&A, I created a compilation illustration of the key themes they had identified. Since the workshop I have been involved in a number of their student projects and have been invited to participate in the university’s work experience scheme in 2022.

We took key elements from each of the student’s visual summaries of the talk and created a collage of their work!
